A dynamic Commercial Construction company, focusing on high-end hospitality, restaurants, casinos and commercial construction projects across the GTA is currently looking to hire a Contract Administrator to oversee the documentation for projects and multiple department roles.
Your new role
A permanent job opportunity has arisen to join a well-established company and thriving construction & estimation team who are looking to grow and add an experienced Contracts Administrator in a newly created role. As Contracts Administrator, you will be responsible for the coordination of all aspects related to contract administration for major interior fit out/renovations and new build construction projects across Ontario. Reporting to the CFO and VP of Operations you will be charged with executing and coordinating all contracts related to prime and subcontracts, issuing Purchase Orders and Change Order's, collecting all supporting documents from sub-contractors. As the Contracts Administrator, you will have the primary responsibility for the completion and attaching of appendices/ Supplemental documents and establish standardized procedures, methods and processes for contracts management across departments. Ideally, you will be proficient and up to date with Canadian Construction Contract Laws and relevant legislation/codes.
What you'll need to succeed
Experience working as a highly efficient and effective Contracts Administrator with a reputable construction company in Ontario. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization. Ability to work in and support a strong team concept but have the ability and insight to work independently. Be results oriented with a genuine willingness to learn. Present oneself as professional, innovative, creative, and a self-starter. Foster a positive and professional work environment both on site and in the office with trades and co-workers. Be creative and contribute to the successful delivery of projects the highest level of quality, whilst being on-time, and on-budget.
