Tool Room Supervisor - Surrey, BC
We are looking for an experienced Tool Room Supervisor to organize and direct multiple tool rooms on a large construction site in Vancouver, BC.
This position will provide day-to-day working supervision of multiple on-site tool rooms, ensuring operational and productivity goals are met. Responsibilities will entail organizing and directing personnel to ensure operational, productivity and safety goals are met, while working closely with assigned site representatives and subcontractors. We are looking for an experienced working Tool Room/Project Site Supervisor with a proven track record in managing a tool room or distribution operation, while driving success in a collaborative team environment.
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of four years supervisory/leadership experience in an operational capacity, encompassing warehousing/distribution, inventory control, workload scheduling, light tool/equipment repair, quality assurance and personnel management. Working knowledge of construction tools and consumables is a definite plus. Certification in project management and HSE is preferred.
As a working Supervisor in a fast paced environment, must be willing/able to perform all tool room activities, including material handling (routinely lifting up to 50 lbs.), order picking (using RF Scan gun), tool distribution and tracking, receiving, stocking, plus inventory control. Must have a clean and valid driver’s license. Proficient computer skills, strong attention to detail, along with the ability to work with little direction is needed. Good planning, leadership, and problem solving skills are also important in order to succeed in this role. Based on workload, overtime, including some evenings/weekends will be required. Relocation benefits are not available, therefore qualified candidates must live in/around Surrey, BC.
