Your new role
My client is a leading wide range of products and services company seeking a Senior Financial Analyst - Corporate Accounting to join its rapidly growing business, with its head office located in Mississauga. The Senior Financial Analyst - Corporate Accounting will be responsible for the quarterly and annual MD&A and IFRS consolidated financial statement preparation. The Senior Financial Analyst - Corporate Accounting will manage quarterly post close process, be the IFRS subject matter expert and act as the liaison with external auditors. The Senior Financial Analyst - Corporate Accounting will also participate in daily corporate accounting and reporting activities including preparation of consolidated financial statements. The Senior Financial Analyst - Corporate Accounting will work on recording business acquisition and dispositions. The Senior Financial Analyst - Corporate Accounting will assist in providing oversight, technical support and guidance to internal stakeholders to ensure that the company's financial statements are recorded and prepared following company policies and IFRS. The successful candidate will also lead any required projects to update existing corporate policies and procedures and will lead the implementation of new policies and procedures.
What you'll need to succeed
The suitable candidate will have 3-4 years' experience in a big 6 public accounting firm combined with a completed CPA designation. You will have worked with public company clients, preferably with some exposure to mining and construction sector clients. You will either be making your first move into the industry or have some post firm experience in a corporate accounting related role. A strong financial and analytical ability is essential, combined with IFRS, and preparation of a company's MD&A, external financial reporting and consolidations is preferred.
