Co-Ex-Tec, a division of Magna Exteriors, is hiring a Tool Crib Attendant for our Concord location. The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day operations of the North and South stockrooms and preventative maintenance (PM) system, recommend policies to maintain the integrity of all stock information and the PM work orders. 1.Assist in coordinating facilities and equipment requirements with relevant Co-Ex-Tec departments, suppliers and customers.2.Participate in year-over-year continuous improvement initiatives in areas of responsibility.3.Contribute to an environment that encourages active process improvement discussion in the context of business goals. 4.Identify opportunities to achieve productivity, quality and service improvement targets for the business.5.Identify key quality weaknesses within the business and contribute to the transformation of existing processes to a higher quality operation.6.Stockroom Management:oResponsible for receiving packages, materials and other goods as required. oContribute to and continually improve an efficient and cost-effective process to assist MRO purchaser in stockroom needs.oManage the daily operations of the stockrooms and recommend policies for stockroom operation. oOversee and evaluate processes and assist MRO Buyer with implementing procedures to improve efficiency.oWith MRO Buyer, determine stocking levels, trends and obsolete items. oHas oversight of the physical inventory of products and adjustments as well as physical and electronic transfers of goods between two stockrooms. (South and North) oServes as a knowledgeable source regarding the operation of the software utilized by the stockroom.7.Responsible for receiving packages, materials, other goods as required. 8.Assist with MSDS database for MRO items. 9.Initiate and /or participate in continuous improvement activities
*Two years of previous experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment
Skills and Competencies
*Secondary School Diploma, or equivalent*Strong interpersonal and communication skills with proficiency in interpersonal and analytical abilities*Proficient computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office required and Trans4M an asset*Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks and work well independently*Able to lift 50lbs to the waist and 40lbs overhead*Basic knowledge of Co-Ex-Tec products and processes, an asset*Understanding of lean manufacturing, an asset*Working knowledge of MP2 systems, an asset
